Ryan Nyquist

Ryan Nyquist is one of the most recognizable and versatile riders in BMX freestyle history, with a professional career that has spanned multiple generations of the sport.

Ryan began riding as a kid in California and turned professional in the mid-1990s. Over the decades that followed, he became known for technical consistency, huge trick combinations and the ability to compete across BMX park, dirt and other disciplines.

His career includes multiple X Games victories, major contest wins, the 2004 ESPY Award for Best Action Sports Athlete and decades of competition at the highest level.

Ryan later expanded into freeride and slopestyle mountain biking, bringing the same creative riding style into another discipline. His influence eventually moved beyond competition as he helped guide the next generation of BMX freestyle athletes on the Olympic stage.
