Terms of Service — The CTI Shop

1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing or using The CTI Shop website (thectishop.com), creating an account, or purchasing CTi®3 products (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.

2. Eligibility and Account

  • You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (typically 18 years old) to use the Services.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend or terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our sole discretion.

3. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website—including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, videos, and code—owned or licensed by The CTI Shop is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
  • CTi®, CTi®3, and all related trademarks, trade names, logos, designs, patents, and other intellectual property are exclusively owned by Össur hf. and/or its affiliates (“Össur”). The CTI Shop is an authorized distributor and reseller of genuine Össur CTi®3 knee braces and accessories. Nothing contained in these Terms or on this website shall be construed as granting any license or right to use any of Össur’s intellectual property.
  • You may view, electronically copy, and print portions of the website solely for the purpose of placing an order with The CTI Shop. Any other use, including reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, display, or performance of any content (whether The CTI Shop’s or Össur’s) is strictly prohibited without the prior written permission of the respective owner.

4. Medical Disclaimer The products offered on this site are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any injury, medical condition, or appropriate use of orthopedic bracing products. Follow all manufacturer instructions and recommendations.

5. Product Information and Sizing

  • We make every effort to provide accurate product descriptions, images, and pricing. However, we do not warrant that all information is error-free. If a product you receive is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition in accordance with our Return Policy.
  • Sizing information is based on Össur’s manufacturer guidelines. The CTI Shop cannot guarantee proper fit for every user. We strongly recommend reviewing the sizing guide and contacting our Fit Specialists prior to purchase if you have any questions.

6. Orders, Pricing, and Availability

  • All prices and product availability are subject to change without notice.
  • We reserve the right to correct any errors in pricing or descriptions, even after an order has been submitted. If an order is canceled due to pricing error, we will notify you and issue a full refund if payment has already been processed.
  • We reserve the right to limit order quantities.

7. Payments and Taxes

  • We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payments are processed through secure third-party processors; The CTI Shop does not store full credit card information.
  • You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, customs fees, and other governmental charges.

8. Shipping and Delivery

  • We ship using reputable carriers. Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the product is delivered to the carrier.
  • Shipping and delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
  • Please verify your shipping address carefully. We are not responsible for delays or misdeliveries caused by incorrect addresses.
  • We do not ship to freight forwarders for international re-export. Shipments to forwarding addresses are at your own risk.

9. Returns, Exchanges, and Warranty

  • Returns are subject to our CTi®3 Return Policy. In general: 30-day return window for unused items in original packaging, customer pays return shipping, and a restocking fee may apply. All returns are subject to inspection.
  • Exchanges are not offered; please place a new order for the correct item.
  • Warranties beyond the initial 30-day return window are handled directly by Össur (the manufacturer) according to their warranty terms. We will assist you with warranty claims as needed.

10. Promotions and Coupons Promotions, discount codes, and special offers are subject to specific terms and may be modified or terminated at any time. Misuse or fraudulent use may result in order cancellation.

11. User Conduct You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, or intimidate others;
  • Upload or transmit unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringing material;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access, scrape data, or interfere with the security of the site;
  • Use the Services for unauthorized commercial solicitation.

We may remove content or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, The CTI Shop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services or products. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The CTI Shop, its owners, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights (including Össur’s intellectual property rights).

16. Governing Law and Venue These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

17. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
