BUILT FOR HIGH-IMPACT RIDING

Support Through Jumps, Landings & Rough Terrain

Motocross demands rapid movement, deep knee flexion and the ability to absorb unpredictable forces while controlling the bike.

RIDING DEMANDS

Why Motocross Riders Wear Knee Braces

Motocross repeatedly loads the knees while riders stand on the pegs, absorb bumps, control the bike through corners and land jumps. A crash can also introduce sudden twisting, extension and lateral forces around the knee.

A rigid functional knee brace provides a structural frame and anatomical hinge system designed to add ligament support while still allowing controlled knee movement.

Common Motocross Knee Demands

  • Hard jump landings
  • Deep knee flexion
  • Rapid weight transfer
  • Rotational crash forces
  • Lateral knee loading
  • Potential hyperextension

KNOW THE DIFFERENCE

Motocross Knee Brace vs. Knee Guard

Both products can be useful for riders, but they are designed for different types of protection.

01

Motocross Knee Guard

A knee guard primarily focuses on direct impact and abrasion protection around the kneecap and shin.

  • Impact protection
  • Kneecap coverage
  • Abrasion protection
  • Limited ligament stabilization
02

Rigid Ligament Knee Brace

A rigid knee brace adds a structural frame and hinge system designed to provide functional ligament support and controlled knee movement.

  • Rigid structural frame
  • ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL support
  • Anatomical hinge movement
  • Extension-control options

CTi®3 TECHNOLOGY

Why CTi®3 Works for Motocross

01

Carbon Composite Frame

A rigid, lightweight structure designed to provide substantial support without excessive bulk around the knee.

02

Accutrac® Hinges

Anatomically designed hinges help follow the natural movement of the knee through flexion and extension.

03

Motocross Impact Guard

Motocross Edition bundles include CTi®3 impact protection designed to add coverage over the front of the knee.

04

Ligament Support

Designed to provide functional support for knee conditions involving the ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL.

05

Extension Control

Compatible extension stops can be used to limit the permitted extension range when appropriate.

06

Replaceable Components

Straps, liners, pads and compatible motocross accessories can be replaced as wearable components age.

RIDING FIT

Check Your CTi®3 With Your Riding Gear

Test the brace with the pants, boots and riding equipment you normally use before beginning a full session.

Bend through your normal standing, seated and crouched riding positions. The hinges should stay aligned with the knee, and the brace should not shift or interfere with your boots or bike.

Motocross Fit Check

  • Hinges stay aligned with the knee
  • Brace remains secure during deep flexion
  • Straps do not create excessive pressure
  • Brace works with riding pants
  • Brace does not interfere with boots
  • Full riding position remains comfortable

FIT MATTERS

Get the Right CTi®3 Size

Correct sizing helps keep the brace properly positioned while riding and during repeated knee flexion.

Knee width at the joint line is the primary CTi®3 sizing measurement. Thigh circumference provides an additional fit reference, especially when measurements fall between sizes.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Motocross Knee Brace FAQs

Detailed answers about motocross knee braces, CTi®3 protection, ligament support, sizing, fit and riding setup.

What is the difference between a motocross knee brace and a knee guard? +
A motocross knee guard primarily provides impact and abrasion protection around the kneecap and shin. A rigid ligament knee brace adds a structural frame and anatomical hinge system designed to provide functional ligament support and controlled knee movement. The CTi®3 Motocross Edition combines rigid knee-brace support with motocross-specific impact protection.
Is CTi®3 designed for motocross? +
CTi®3 is designed for demanding active use, and the Motocross Edition bundles add motocross-specific accessories to the rigid CTi®3 brace. Riders should test the complete setup with their normal pants, boots and bike before beginning a full riding session.
What is included in the CTi®3 Motocross Pair Bundle? +
The Motocross Pair Bundle includes one left CTi®3 Knee Brace and one right CTi®3 Knee Brace, plus motocross-specific protection accessories for both knees. It is the complete bilateral setup for riders who want CTi®3 support on both sides.

What is included in the Single Motocross Edition? +
The Single Motocross Edition includes one CTi®3 Knee Brace in your selected left or right side, one CTi®3 Impact Guard, one sleeve with mesh, a CTi® decal sheet and a CTi® product bag.

Shop the Single Motocross Edition →
Should I buy the Motocross Pair Bundle or the Single Motocross Edition? +
Choose the Pair Bundle if you want a left-and-right CTi®3 setup for both knees. Choose the Single Motocross Edition if you only need one left or right brace. Both options use the CTi®3 rigid ligament brace and include motocross-specific protection.
Does CTi®3 support the ACL? +
Yes. CTi®3 is designed to provide functional support for knee conditions involving the ACL. Riders returning after an ACL injury or reconstruction should follow the recommendations of their surgeon, physician or physical therapist regarding return to riding.
Does CTi®3 support the PCL, MCL and LCL? +
CTi®3 is designed to provide functional support for knee conditions involving the ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL. The rigid carbon composite frame provides structural support while the hinge system allows controlled flexion and extension.
Can I ride motocross with a CTi®3 after ACL reconstruction? +
CTi®3 may be used as a functional ligament brace following ACL injury or reconstruction when appropriate. Wearing a brace does not by itself determine when it is safe to return to motocross. Return-to-riding decisions should be made with your healthcare and rehabilitation team.
Can CTi®3 help limit knee hyperextension? +
CTi®3 can be used with compatible extension stops to limit the permitted extension range of the knee. If a healthcare professional has prescribed a specific range-of-motion restriction, use the configuration they recommend.
Does the Motocross Edition include impact protection? +
Yes. The Motocross Edition adds CTi®3 impact guards designed to provide coverage over the front of the knee. This distinguishes the Motocross Edition from a standard CTi®3 brace setup.
Can I wear CTi®3 under motocross pants? +
In many cases, yes. The CTi®3 has a streamlined design, but riding pants vary substantially. Test the complete brace and impact-guard setup with your actual riding pants before a full session. The fabric should not push the brace out of alignment or interfere with hinge movement.
Will CTi®3 interfere with motocross boots? +
Brace and boot combinations vary by rider and equipment. Put on your brace, riding pants and boots together and move through your normal standing, seated and crouched riding positions. Confirm that the lower brace does not create uncomfortable interference with the top of the boot.
Can I bend my knee deeply while wearing CTi®3? +
The CTi®3 hinge system is designed to allow controlled knee flexion and extension. Motocross requires substantial knee flexion, so test the brace through your complete riding position before riding aggressively. It should remain aligned without excessive pinching or pressure.
How tight should my CTi®3 be? +
The brace should feel secure enough that it does not noticeably slide or rotate during movement. The hinges should remain aligned with the knee. Straps should not cause numbness, excessive pressure or painful pinching. Overtightening straps is not a substitute for choosing the correct size.
Is the CTi®3 left- and right-side specific? +
Yes. CTi®3 braces are anatomically side-specific. The Pair Bundle contains one left and one right brace. When purchasing the Single Motocross Edition, select the correct side for the knee you intend to support.
How do I choose the correct CTi®3 size? +
Knee width at the joint line is the primary CTi®3 sizing measurement. Thigh circumference can be used as an additional fit reference, particularly when your knee measurement falls close to the boundary between two sizes.

View the Complete CTi®3 Sizing & Fit Guide →
What if I am between two CTi®3 sizes? +
Recheck your measurements carefully before ordering. Use knee width as the primary sizing reference and compare your thigh measurement for additional guidance. A brace that is too large may migrate while riding, while one that is too small can create excessive pressure.
Can CTi®3 slide while riding motocross? +
Brace migration can occur if sizing, brace position or strap placement is incorrect. If the brace repeatedly moves during riding, recheck the fit and sizing rather than simply tightening the straps further.
What should I check before riding? +
Put on the CTi®3 with your normal riding pants and boots. Confirm that the hinges are aligned, the straps are secure and the impact guards are properly positioned. Move through standing, seated, crouched and deep-flexion riding positions before beginning a full session.
Are CTi®3 replacement straps, liners and pads available? +
Yes. Compatible CTi®3 replacement straps, liners, condyle pads, extension stops, flexion stops and other accessories are available. Inspect wearable parts regularly and replace components when they no longer maintain the intended fit or comfort.

Shop CTi®3 Replacement Parts & Accessories →
How should I clean CTi®3 after motocross riding? +
Remove dirt, dust and debris after riding, particularly around the hinges, straps, pads and impact guards. Follow the manufacturer's care instructions for removable soft components and allow everything to dry completely before storage.
Can CTi®3 be used for sports other than motocross? +
Yes. The CTi®3 platform is designed for demanding active use and may also be used for BMX, surfing, wakeboarding, pickleball, mountain biking and other sports where rigid functional ligament support is appropriate. The Motocross Edition specifically adds accessories intended for motocross riding.
